Introducing...

Hi, I'm Jeremy Isaac. I'm a media journalist and I've been writing about TV, music and lifestyle for mass-market magazines for more than 35 years. Music titles to which I have contributed include Jazz Journal, The Jazz Rag, Folk Roots, The Guitar Magazine, Music Week, Country Music, Vintage Rock, RnR, Shindig!, Maverick, Country Music People and Folk In Kent, as well as editing Country Music International in the late 1990s. I've also been a sub-editor on NME, Uncut and the late-lamented Melody Maker.

However, now my journalistic career is slowing down
a bit, I thought I'd like to have some fun reviewing my own choices rather than those assigned to me. So on this site I'll be holding forth on a right random mix of obscure, eccentric or just plain long-time favourite albums both old and new, drawn from myriad genres.

My taste in music is pretty wide, ranging from classical and film themes to blues, R&B, jazz, psychedelia, rock, reggae, country, folk and Celtic music. I've had many reviews published by the magazines mentioned above which can be found at jerryjourno58.wordpress.com,
but the missives appearing on this site have never been published anywhere else.
Let me know what you think...
PS: I've now started adding other items such as posts about actors, books etc...
